The Original First Family

My Husband and I traveled to New Orleans the weekend before Christmas. While in the Airport for our return to Atlanta I became aware of, what seemed to be, an unusual amount of babies in the Airport. They seemed to be all around us. There were newborns and there were toddlers, made up of a diverse number of Ethnic Groups. It was so noticeable to me that I made mention of it to my husband. It was a beautiful thing. But the Spirit of the Lord moved me to look a little deeper into what was before my eyes. I asked the Lord, what He wanted me to see, or do. Then I noticed that all of the children before us were traveling along their parents, their Dads and their Moms, precious young married couples. Within my heart, I began to Rejoice and thank God as I prayed for each family I saw. I then began to think on the scriptures of the “true” first family in Genesis, and the instructions given to them in the Garden:

So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He Him; male and female created He them.

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth. Genesis 1:27-28

I believe the Spirit of the Lord brought these beautiful families to my attention to bless them, to pray for them, and to remind me that even when the "lust of the flesh" and desire of immorality “barks” loudly on every hand, the “original” first family, “pure” marriage is alive and well; and it remains God's plan for the earth. There is no doubt that He did not and could not have ordained anything but One Man to be joined to One Woman in Holy Matrimony. If it were anything like what is being petitioned for and supported today, the “be fruitful and multiply” part would have been spoken by the Father in vain because we know that “scientifically” and/or “physically” only a Man and Woman can reproduce, be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth. We also know that the Word of the Lord can not return void and can never be spoken in vain. Moreover, in the Beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth….male and female created He them, and Only the Creator truly understands the purpose of His creation and how it should function. The Plan was made. We can’t change it; we are to follow it and carry it out! Glory to God! So I bless and thank God for His Original Family Plan -from the Beginning; and I thank Him, that inspite of what else is going on, it is alive and still flourishing today. I pray that all Families in the image of what He created Stand, continue to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, and subdue it.
