About Cynthia

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works
and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:16
Singing for audiences
and congregations, large and small, since the tender age of 5; Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Cynthia L. Thomas has been blessed
with the gift of music that stirs the heart of mankind for the Glory of God.
After relocating from her birthplace Bloomington, Illinois to New Orleans with her family, "making up" songs at the piano and singing them for her church congregation became
the norm at an early age. Consequently, Cynthia embarked on a path that led her to earn a Certificate of Music from the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and complete her studies in Vocal Music Performance (Bachelor of Music) from Loyola University
of New Orleans. Realizing the purpose of her musical gifts, after college she founded LuvMo
Music; literally "Love More," with the heart and intention of sharing "God's Love”
through the music. Through Luvmo, she did her very first solo recording; recorded background vocals for many artists;
recorded demonstrative vocals for musicals and shows; and recorded jingles for radio and television; ministered and
performed with a number of choirs and chorales including the Moses Hogan Chorale. In addition to a significant number
of other notable performances, including Mozart’s Duet Sull' aria, or "To Romeo" from The Marriage
of Figaro with the New Orleans Symphony Orchestra, Cynthia has also been a guest vocalist in a Gospel Brunch
episode of the Emeril Live Show. (The Food Network Channel)
As a member of the Gospel group BLESSED, Cynthia
also served as writer/producer of the group's self-titled CD (Blessed) and their second release (Journey for the Heart).
The Journey for the Heart CD has had its place on the Billboard Gospel Top Forty chart, Billboard Christian Top Forty chart
and received two Stellar Award nominations.
Cynthia has worked and appeared with a vast number of notable
musicians and singers. In 2002 she was invited to be a guest artist on the Ellis Marsalis Jazz at Christmas in New Orleans project and in 2003, she recorded her first National/International
solo album, "All About Love," by which came the release of her first Nationally aired Music Video "Let Brotherly
Love Continue." The video aired on BET's "Lift Every Voice," and Video Gospel; UPN's "Gospel
TV," a host of other video shows throughout the country; and can still be seen on “The Word Network.” Reaching
the hearts of millions, she was also a musical guest on LeSea Broadcasting’s “The Harvest Show.” Featured
on this release is her eminent song, "Your Mercy," which, along with many other songs from her
All About Love album, is still greatly blessing others through Commercial Gospel radio, Inspirational radio; Airline,
Internet, and Digital radio - throughout the world.
Referred to by many as an anointed “skilled”
vocalist, and an exceptional songwriter/composer , Cynthia has conducted a number of choral workshops and instructed
songwriting classes; served as Minister of Music in the New Orleans and Dallas, TX areas; and ministered at Women’s
Conferences, General Conferences and Concerts in various parts of the Nation.
In the spring of 2004
Cynthia began serving through public Bible teaching ministry. She has led and instructed A Women's
Bible study, as well as a general assembly through her local fellowship in Lilburn, GA.
She is thankful
for the privilege of Honoring God through her musical and teaching gifts but she is also very grateful for
her family. She has been blessed with a wonderful supporting husband, three beautiful children, and their sweet little
six year old Shih Tzu, Nyla.
